TAICHUNG, TAIWAN (TraNews) – Ideally situated in the southern part of Hong Kong Island, Repulse Bay is one of the most famous sandy beaches in Hong Kong. The sun-drenched Repulse Bay is characterized by its long, broad beach, clean water, white sand and calm tide, making it an optimal destination for basking in the warmth of sunlight.
Sea View Pavilion Park constructed on the east side of the beach is one of the must-visits while touring in the Southern District. The park features a lifeguard clubhouse built in traditional Chinese style. Towering twin statues of the Protectress of Seafarers and Goddess of Mercy situated on both sides of the tower practically become a significant landmark of Repulse Bay.
In addition to these two divine statues more than ten meters high, the park also features other large divine statues, like the Sea Dragon King, the God of River, the Lord of Longevity and more. It is worth mentioning that there is a statue of Zhao Gongming, also known the god of prosperity, located in front of the statue of the Protectress of Seafarers. It is said that after worshipping the god of prosperity, the prosperity surely emerges.
